JOB SUMMARY:
This role is a key member of the Campaign team as well as an integral part of the NextGen team and will play a role in the engagement, cultivation, and solicitation of donors and prospects, as well as strategic thought partnership for NextGen with the NextGen Director.
This position is responsible for planning and implementing key programs and events to build a continuous pipeline of lay leaders as well as prospects and donors to Federation’s Annual Campaign, particularly among those at the $1,000+ giving level and below.
Additionally, this position will oversee a group of volunteer campaign ambassadors, who each have their own portfolio of donors they are responsible for.

JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with the NextGen Director to brainstorm, plan and execute programming and events for the 45 and under-crowd.
- Plan and implement small social, educational and philanthropic parlor events geared toward young couples.
- Oversee the Arthur Borinsky Young Leadership Development Program, a multi-week evening program focused on connecting NextGen like-minded peers while learning about Federation’s impact, annual campaign, and partner agencies.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Campaign Ambassadors ensuring they have the tools they need to cultivate prospects, make solicitations and steward donors.
- Oversee the launching of the GMW NextGen Ben-Gurion Society ($1,000+ donors) and the growth of BPN Circle ($1,000+ donors) and identify where there is overlap between the two programs and leverage that for deeper engagement.
- Focus on strategic pre/post-event outreach to ensure relationships with donors, prospects, and first-time event attendees are cultivated, developed and maintained.
- Work with NextGen Director and BPN Director to enhance programs designed to secure both short- and long-range gift fundraising objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Directors in the Campaign Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two years of proven success in a not-for-profit environment, ideally with the growth of individual gifts.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, oral and written.
- Willingness to roll-up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and collaborate effectively with fundraising staff, volunteer leaders and volunteer cultivators/solicitors.
- Understanding of or experience in the Federation system would be useful but is not essential.
- Knowledge of the Greater MetroWest community and the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ mission is a plus.

- Effective interactions with all levels/types of volunteers, donors and staff
- Personable, energetic, self-starting nature
- Successful with frontline, face-to-face fundraising/soliciting
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in an environment that will use Zoom and other communications technology
- Good organization, technology, and computer skills
- Willingness to occasionally work evening meetings/events and 2-3 Sundays annually.
